Mission Statement:
"Nava Jeevan aims at promoting, cultivating and nurturing a South Asian Community of Faith as a 'Multicultural Body', deeply rooted and grounded in Christ for the sake of establishing a world on the next level of New Creation model filled with love, joy, peace and harmony as one new family of God".

History
In the year 2005  New Jersey Synod (www.njsynod.org) of the Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America (ELCA: www.elca.org) extended a call to the Rev. Edwin Fernando Arumanayagam (who had just completed his STM from the Graduate School of Theology at the Lutheran Seminary at Philadelphia (www.ltsp.edu) to start the Central Jersey South Asian Outreach Initiative on the southern pod of Route 1 corridor.

Pr. David Raja Achariam of Malesian Lutheran Church was posted at Elizabeth in order to serve the northern pod of the Rt 1 corridor.

By God's grace and approval by the ELCA (EOCM) Nava Jeevan-New Life in Christ blossomed as a new ministry with the support of two dynamic congregations namely 'Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (www.popnj.org) - Princeton Junction' and 'Christ the King Lutheran Church (www.xtheking.org) - Kendall Park'.

Testimonials

"Along with my office colleague I was church-shopping and visited Christ the King Lutheran Church on Route 27. To my great surprise we were greeted by a South Asian - Indian pastor who also happened to be the preacher on that sunday morning service. The (American) senior pastor and the rest of the congregation welcomed us with such warmth and love. It was then we realized that we landed in the right place! For the past couple of years we were blessed abundantly and our excitement keeps growing beyond leaps and bounds!!"
